friends 98 v6 malibu has no spark.

New plugs, wires, coilpacks, no spark.

I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of the power flow from cranking? Like the relays/sensors/fuses that the voltage goes through before getting to the coils?

I'm wondering if its a bad cks or cas (if it has one), maybe a main relay, etc. Plus, I need to know which wires go to the coils, because the ones behind the ignition coils seem to have been touched (some black tape, maybe prespliced? Seemed like they were toggather though).

Just trying to help him out and couldn't find any wiring diagrams

Those cars had a problem with the theft-deterrent killing the power to the engine at unusual times. Have you confirmed that its not the factory kill switch?

Grounds the coil i believe... I concur, check for a kill switch fault. If not, CPS is another good option. Also cap and rotor

Yeah prolly not that its not that common

Coil pack grounds could be an issue as well

                do you have injector pulse?

if yes, I'd lean twards ignition module

if no, I'd say CPS or your Passlock anti-theft is screwy

IIRC ignition module creates a no fuel situation which would be your injector pulse IIRC that is

Replaced crank sensor I have no spark. Double checked firing order and its good.

How and where would I bypass the anti theft system?

Fuel pump relay clicks multiple times like once every few seconds with key on accessory.

9 times out of 10 on the Chevy 3.1, 3.4, and 3.8, A lack of spark is thanks to either the anti-theft system or the ignition control module itself.

Take off all the coils, take that bastard off, and take it into an advanced auto parts to get it tested.

The ignition control module is new.

If the antitheft was being a pain, would it allow crank but no start? My experience w/ alarms is they wouldn't even allow the car to crank. If so, how would I test this system/bypass
