Early vs late model arches...on verts

So, we all know that pre 1988 E30's have lower arches, which make fitting fatter/wider wheels a little easier.

my question is, did these remain the same for verts?
I'm trying to figure out a tire combo for my rears, and I keep reading "early arches FTW" on those with 86/87's etc...yet my vert is 1990 with DB's, and am wondering if it would be considered to have the earlier styled arches

Early models actually have higher rear wheel arches.

I wasn't talking about convertibles, i should have quoted.

As far as I'm aware all convertibles are the same.

Sedan/coupe early rear arches are higher hence more noticable rake when using H&R race etc. I've got a 1988 and a 1983 two door sitting right next to each other and the arches are most definitely lower on the late model.

So just to be sure before I order rubber...
