I never knew Senna raced a 190 and won it. And Im not seeing the boy racer in that Merc either...

I'll always prefer a six-cylinder E30 to whatever else is on offer.

But, if it's between an M3 and a 190E Cosworth, I might just take the 190. I agree with the host, there's something cool about it. I like how low-key it is.

Im glad he mentioned it was an apples to oranges comparison in ways. The M3 was a 2.5 car and the Merc a 2.3 car not the big wing 2.5

Very lopsided to compare an early 2.3-16 to an M3 Evo III. He's basically comparing the entry-level 16v to the most potent version of the M3. The Sport Evo has the 2.5L engine with the Motorsport block and makes 240 hp in street trim. Surprised the 16v could even keep up!

Regardless of the argument: I want one of each!

I liked the video and clearly they are both cool cars. Owning that evo would be my preference and the Merc has no interest for me. Don't get me wrong it's story and heritage is interesting but I don't get excited about ownership.

I have to agree. The dogleg is cool, but they're a bitch to find and at the end of the day not nearly as cool as an e30 m3.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

The Euro M3 had the same Getrag close-ratio, dog-leg gearbox. There was a difference in the shift linkage, but the boxes are basically the same.

Amusing and had realistic points. I like both but I'm biased. I like the 190e It's a nice car and since I can't find a 190e-2.6 Blackline, I'll keep my E36 as a daily driver.
