    what does r3v think?

okay so i have a '91 318is and i love it. its a perfect little car except for a key issue. not enough power. frankly im getting a little bored of totting around town in my sluggish bimmer. the m42, although a great motor, just doesnt seem to cut it anymore. so... thats where you guys come in. I was thinking of doing an s50 or s52 swap. or perhaps selling and buying an e36 m3. i think those are pretty rad, i just like the e30 body way better. opinions and thoughts?

I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

I heard switching to a lighter flywheel helps the M42 with acceleration. For more power it may have to be a swap or turbo.

Hmm I say S52, but an S50 swap is not a bad idea either...

                      What diff do you have?

Easiest, cheapest way to a bit more power would be a chipped M20 swap with a 3.73 LSD.

this will always be a problem, once you obvtain an engine swapped car youll get bored of that and want moar power again.

Sell your 318is and buy an allready swapped e30. But you better have atleast FourteenK laying around.
