        Thanks all, when i had the tire dismounted today it looked like it was going to explode, the car was shaking violently at 45 MPH and finally got tires put on today. Got a nice rash from touching the steel belt that was sticking out :X

          You're thinking of impact separation which is seen as a bubble in the sidewall. It sounds like he just has regular old tread separation which is usually caused by poor alignment and/or running a tire too long. It's rarely ever caused by a tire defect.
