I am trying to fix my girlfriends car. It is a 96 Chrysler Cirrus with a 2.5 6 cylinder. It is misfiring on cylinder #4. I have replaced the plug and wire on that cylinder as well as the distributor cap and rotor. The thing is still misfiring and the ECU is still reading out a cylinder 4 misfire code after I erased it. I noticed that there is a sparking sound coming from the cap randomly, don't know if that should normally be audible.
The car doesn't seem to misfire every time, maybe every 2 or 3 rotations, and it doesn't seem to misfire in the higher rpms unless under load uphill.
Please help me fix this POS thanks
