Oh you can find them at that price, but they come with baggage.

You'll only find e30's for that price range under these circumstances:

-Grandma down the street is selling it.
-The owner doesn't know what they have.
-Paint/Interior/Mechanics/etc are shot. (Maybe it's one or the other, maybe it's all of them.)
    -RUST or Salvage Title
    -It's a MAJOR project...not running/not taken care of, etc.
-It's a pile of shit lol

One in the condition you posted would never go for "hundreds of dollars" unless that person found a needle in a haystack.

I think those "ugly" bahama beige cars are awesome!! That Euro 4 door in beige with the mtech 1 wing is fucking sweet. Idk why people never like these colors. I love bronzit too.

Plus, believe me...if E30's in that condition were commonly found in the USA at that low of a price, we would be going into business together haha. Every one would be shipped internationally for a huge profit margin, plus it would skyrocket their overall value here having fewer and fewer available.

That's just not how it is though. Also in regard to my "$5k value differing geographically" reference, it doesn't seem like it would apply so much to Indonesia (maybe I'm wrong). I was surprised to read you guys are #16 on the world's GDP list, a very impressive number out of ≈ 196 countries.

Overall it appears to be a very nice, well taken care of car, and not outrageously priced in my opinion.

Whoa, where did u read that? Trust me, Indonesia is an ugly country with many poor people. $5,000 is a lot. For comparison, people around my age (26) earns about $400-$600 in average per month.

Well of course I trust you, I'm just reading information on the web-you're actually there experiencing it first hand. I was just reading that Indonesia has the largest Southeast Asian economy, and has been rapidly growing since 2004, getting stronger and stronger. I guess I interpreted that as fair and decent wages being paid as well, in addition to a strong currency. I guess that's all relative information, and my original comment stands- $5k can be a night and day difference geographically.

That being said, $5k is a lot when put into perspective.

OK, solved! Thanks, all. Is it a hated color here, too? Just asking.
