As for the Nutria.. No relation (that I can think of). ñeque are animals native to central america. Think of a really big guinea pig. The one I hit was purdy big too.
The Nutria were native to Central America but were imported here to grow them for their fur, but were released into the swamps in Lousiana and have devasted the wetland marshes of the areas there. They eat the marsh grasses and apparently mutiply quite rapidly and have flourished in that habitat. Yeah, they are the same.

Nah, I didn't get what was left of it for BBQ. The thought crossed my mind though, just to say I did it, but nah. No thanks.

Having a tropical rainforest in the middle of a city can be complicated at times. I haven't personally hit anything other than birds and this one ñeque.. but I've seen and heard of people hitting sloths, curumundis, monkeys, deer, various small rodents, armadillos and turtles.

Did anybody see that episode of insomniac where Dave goes to bourbon street? It has the N.O. police riding around and shooting neutra rats from the back of pickups. Sounds like a pretty fun job.
