The thing was beautiful. I called on it early in the week (some time around Wednesday) and the lady on the phone told me to call back that weekend. Saturday morning a call to see if I can come take a look and she informs me that it was already sold. I called at 10am on the day she told me to and it was sold! I later found out it had been sold to this kid names Chris Isar (some of you may have heard of him ;) ). His daddy bought it for him to replace the one he had backed into a mail box and later drove off a cliff or something. I think it has been well taken care of though. I have hear that the fenders are all bent up because his wheels are too big, the back of it is a bit messed up becasue his dad backed into it, and just the other day some kids threw a bunch of rocks at it and broke the driver's side window.
Derek wins. Missing out on a badass E30, only to find out later it ended up in the hands of Chris Isar is the worst possible scenario I can imagine.

My "one that got away"? About 6 months before I got the current E30 I have now, I was driving down the highway with my wife, when I noticed ellipsoids in an E30 grille at a dealership. We drove in to find of the most pristine E30's I've ever seen in my life. It was a 1987 325iS, Delphin-Grey Metallic with Cardinal Red leather interior. I walked around it several times, finding not a single dent or scratch anywhere on it. On the inside, the leather looked brand new, not a wrinkle in it, I shit you not. I had to get inside of it. The salesman unlocked it for me, and I climbed in. It was immacualte, and it only had 111k on it. The previous and ONLY owner was a doctor who only drove it on weekends, to play golf and go to lunches, meetings, etc. In the glovebox was the manual, still in it's plastic sleeve, and the original tape deck cleaining kit, still in plastic. We popped the hood to find the most beautiful M20 I'd ever seen. The owner had all of the cosmoline professionally removed, and every fitting, hose, and clamp were all brand new. Nothing was dirty, everything was in it's place. He took us for a drive in it (since at the time I had no license), and it was incredible. The best sounding M20 I've ever heard. Quiet as a mouse at idle, but roared to life when you stepped on the gas.

They wanted $5700 for it, and I would have paid it on the spot in cash. The only reason I didn't was because of my hospital bills, and the money I owed to the insurance company of the girl I hit when I wrecked my car. There was no way I could convince myself to spend the money on it, I just didn't have it to spend. That car will always be the one that got away.

LOL, James, Mot and I saw him at Safeway about 2 weeks ago. I feel sorry for the car. I guess he threw a rod or somthin a while back and it went through the fucking hood!! He ended up buying one of those shitty fitting VIS cf hoods. It looks like ass and his fenders are all fucked up too.

Next year, I'm printing out pics of his old car that he totalled, the pic that Jordan made of his car wedged in-between 2 trees when he forgot to set the ebrake, and pics of his sliced up arms when he went nuts. If he shows up at the Picnic, I'm sticking them all over his car when he's not looking.

None of you probably have enough time to read about all the "ones that got away" from me. Some of you know exactly what I mean, and I'll just leave it at that.

I've got worse. I see the kid every day at school. He even talks to me sometimes. Uhhhhhhh. Gives me chills even thinking about it.

Oh yeah, don't forget his DIY spray painted all red tails with drip marks all over them.

To be honest, hes always been a nice guy to me so I can't say to much. Hes just irresponsible and shouldn't be behind the wheel of an e30 or any car for that matter. He only has one ugly looking red tail now, the other one is stock lol.

                  This was mine: http://www.concordmotorsport.com/printable.asp?ID=333

It was what first brought me onto their lot but I couldn't afford it so I ended up buying my current e30. Then later when I wrecked my car it was still there... I very nearly bought it then but I found a good body shop to fix up my car and still didn't have the money to buy it. I think it finally sold a week ago.
