    Isetta values....

Long story short, a gentleman locally has two very near mint Isetta 300s for sale. $32k takes them both. Running, driving. Needs carbwork and the chrome polished, etc.

    $32k. For both.

Give me the most convincing reason to buy these. I'm trying to talk my boss into picking them up, polishing one up, actuation one off, and keeping the other for the shop to have as a curiosity in the showroom, kinda like the Z8 we have.

Use same monies to get an impossibly awesome e30 m3 to show off. Much better use of $$$. Customers will be more impressed with a really clean, well sorted M3.

I'm already on the lookout for him to get an e30 M3, but you can't stand a card board cutout of Erkle by an M3 and have a connection made.

the isettas are better show stoppers.

my friend had one back in the day, eh said he almost died many times because of the amount of people that would gawk at it while driving.

            This.

Most people will see an e30 M3 and be like, "OH, that's just an old BMW...."

Everyone will ask what an Isetta is. Hell, everyone knows what one is if they are old enough to have watched Family Matters.

            They're quirky.

@Slammin, the local BMW dealer has one CLEAN running Isetta in the showroom. They get so many people coming in to look at it. Not to mention the BMW mountain bike and road bike.

Pics of the two? 32k sounds pretty good for both if everything is there and the body is nice. There was a guy on CL selling a rolling shell for 9k if that is any guide. It was sold in two days...

They are in really good shape. Everything is there. They're at a English car restoration shop, but he's too busy to do anything with them. They run, although I haven't seen them run, but need carb work. Honestly I wouldn't touch them, maybe some speed shine and throw them in the showroom. Take them out to a local show every now and then. I may stop by and snap some pics. They're open until 6 and I am in love with this place now.

Loving the Clist linky. You guys think you can show me more examples? I'm trying to hard to convince him there is money to be made here.

Check Hagarty collector car insurance website. They have a range of values plotted over time for isettas (or any serous or old collector car) depending on condition from concours to daily driver to project condition.

Steve Erkle...anyone? But, seriously I love this car. It will draw so many lookers that your regular customers will not be able to get in your shop.
