I've been doing research on e21's, as one recently popped up in my area that would be a great project car. However, I want to know what r3v thinks of them, what to look for, etc. I know the m10 needs to be swapped out, I was planning on an m30 or something similar come next year. But yeah, any opinions are appreciated. Thanks!

I pretty much agree with everything above except the part about being ugly. E30's. Have unlimited aftermarket support. E21's certainly do not. In fact, the aftermarket "market" for that model is abysmal by comparison.
If you want an almost completely stock vehicle, this shouldn't be a problem for you. If you want to mod, choose a different carsigpic

my 82' stock 323i was an amazing car. I prefer them over the regular e21s because of the dual exhaust. Nothing beats the tail of that car, looks wise.
But, whatever. Some people hate the way E30s look... go figure... :::shrugs:::Comment

Hey, 2002's had a better system for managing the front struts. For the E21, they messed it up!
If you like the looks, you can do something with them. They WILL become rare, because,
like many 70's cars, they had plenty of flaws...
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george gravesComment
