Nah. This guy came here a few years ago talking about how he had a m3 conversion. Turns out it's just an M3 that was probably stolen or some chit. funny chit.

Amen to that.
And if its been stolen and not something that's been pieced together, then it really doesn't look that bad.I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)

Caught me red handed. The car is owned by M20Curtis, and I'm pretty sure he's on R3V as well. He bought the car in a pretty rough state of repair and rebuilt the motor and cleaned it up a bit. Everybody on S14 and Curtis are positive that it's a true M3, just re-titled as a 318. It does tempt me, but you never know what really happened with the car, it could have been stolen, used in a crime, who knows what. 12 grand is an awful lot to throw away if it's true identity were found. You just never know what could happen, it's definitely a risk.75' M42 Powered 2002

Looks like M3? Smells like M3? Low miles on rebuild? Good enough for me. $12k for a reasonably clean sorted s14 car isn't a bad deal. Why not enjoy cheap insurance on it as an 84 318?Caught me red handed. The car is owned by M20Curtis, and I'm pretty sure he's on R3V as well. If it didn't have the title issue it would've been snapped up instantly at that price. Title doesn't effect your enjoyment of the vehicle. Get "not a M3" as your plate, watch people scratch their heads.- Josh

What does the VIN across under the windshield say?
Also, that VIN now comes up as a 2012 118d wagon, lololol.Last edited by slammin.e28; 09-04-2012, 12:23 PM.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

The same reason it will be cheapest to insure is the same reason you'd never want to get that thing in an accident/totaled. They'll only give you what it's titled and registered as. The second you try to argue it's not what the title states it as, you're royally effed and they won't listen... or worse.Looks like M3? Smells like M3? Low miles on rebuild?
