Mike if you see this I apologize for my statements about the Alpina valve cover in the thread in the FS section... It was a fake I guess... you still had no business in that thread... and even the fake one is worth a $65 that a painted original one is NOT...

You've been told time and time again to stop running your mouth but you still insist? I ended up selling this valve cover for nearly $100. Is THAT worth it? Did it ever occur to you that $65 for a painted valvecover shipped might be worth it to someone who has less time on their hands than they do money? Or to someone who uses the BMW as a daily driver? I guess it didn't. Now go ahead and talk trash and do what you do. You've already proven yourself in the FS thread with your "Original Alpina" comments to Mike.... Do your worst.

I wasn't going to bring up anything else that had been said except to apologize for my mistake on the fake vc but now I will...

... when before that thread did you or anyone tell me to stop running my mouth... there are only about 15 people on this board who know me personally...

... YOU were the one who thought it was real before I did... we both made the same mistake dumbass except I didn't buy the damn thing... I made a mistake and I admitted it and apologized for it...

...And no it didn't occur to me... what did occur to me, is that its LAZY... and I stand by that statement... hate me or not... its lazy... would you pay someone $65 for a painted set of kidneys or headlight rings, or maybe a painted set of shadowline? I hope not even if they did look good...

Finally...its awesome that you got $100 out of that valve cover... I wouldn't pay that much for it because I dont do the Alpina thing but for an ACS one... YES it would be worth it...

So, you're saying that people who buy finished items are lazy? People use these cars as daily drivers--how are they supposed to get their valve cover, or intake manifold, or anything else painted when they have to drive the car everyday?

It's like calling someone lazy for buying new seats when theirs get torn to shit and the recliner doesn't work anymore. Or how about guys that buy smoked ellipsoids--that's another DIY job.

Anything is worth something, you just have to find the person that it's worth something to.

Elipsoids did not come stock in ALL of our cars so for some its an upgrade... re-upholstering seats is NOT a one hour job that just ANYONE can do... and the recliner function is a shock that IS easily replaceable...

my car is a daily driver... I'm still waiting for someone to PROVE to me that its not lazy... obviously it was worth $65 to someone I wont argue that even though IMHO its rediculous... but it IS lazy... a lot of people on here claim to be broke... I'm seeing a theme here...

I guess Mr 325 telling you to shut up doesn't qualify as someone telling you to stop running your mouth. You had no reason to come on this thread and say anything. You shat in Avus' thread. You don't think you did cause yer buddy buddy with hiim. Only 15 or so people on this board know you personally..... so the other 4250 something people thinkyou are flaming him for taking a valve cover you sold him dirt cheap and making money from it. Yes, I did not know the authenticity of the VC..... THUS THE THREAD. I didn't go into someone elses thread asking questions. Or god forbid.... someone's For Sale thread. I did it here where its accepted.

No, I would not pay $65 for a painted valve cover. No I would not pay $65 for a powder coated valve cover. I am on the other side of the coin though. I get valve covers for less than you can imagine. I get my powder coating done dirt cheap also. So I'd have no need. But to someone who thinks that $65 SHIPPED is worth it then so be it. On RealOem they have a "Cylinder head cover" better known to us as Valve cover listed at $265.61. So a painted one at $65 as an alternative to buying a second one from the dealer and painting it is a great deal if you ask me. But who am I to know anything? I guess I'm one of those lazy ones since I paid to have someone put my motor in my touring for me.

You've basically proven yourself as a stubborn hardheaded child here. Just give it up man.

If you knew how to put the motor in and payed someone to do it anyways then yes it was lazy... I also put my own motor in... and btw lets not get into logistics... I'm 24 and have acted accordingly...

Yes I know how to put a motor in an e30. Yes I paid someone to do it. So without price you automatically assume I'm lazy. Good job. *LMAO*

All in all it cost me 580 euro. I purchased the motor with 90,000 original km on it. I had a new timing belt installed. I had my Nology wires installed. I had my 19lb injectors installed. I had the motor mounts replaced. I had an ACS chip installed. I had the hand brakes repaired. And I had the engine put in. All for 580 euro.

                          Thats approximately 700 USD.

At what point does my time become worth money? I tell you at what point. When I have a job that pays me well enough that I don't have to worry about little things like $700. I'm beyond the stage that I MUST do every little thing on my car because paying for it is not worth it. The luxury of being able to afford someone else's time is more worth it than you can fathom my friend.

Same. Until then I'll do all the work on my car, but I do enjoy it, so it's win - win.

                              Keep it slideways!!

Nate your acting like a dipshit dude. Youve said some really ignorant things. Nobodys gonna like you here. Im not sure if you care or not though but it doesnt matter. Your lazy as fuck when it comes to your car and a valve cover like that is with every bit of 65.00 dollars. For a daily driven car the owner can slap one of these on and not have any down time. Calm down homie.
