It seems to me like it is going through an identity crisis. The overall way it sits, the way it drives you can tell its only show and not really capable of being tracked as well as it could be.
Yet the window nets and the horrid bolt in rollbar..
I can appreciate his love for it, but its not really done in a way that I would like
That widebody kit looks like it would rip off at anything above 80 it's so flimsy. Very "Home Depot" looking.
And the cage and window net are just too FUH RAZE!Comment

i really enjoyed it, steering wheel, seats, and engine bay minus the little leather plac are some of my favorite parts.
and that shifter is fucking sick.Comment

That shifter is very nice

for a car thats "raced out" its purely a showcar, never been to a track and no intention of going to the track.
also its simply mark1, not em kay one. its a pet peeve of the diehard A1 guys. A1 is the correct chassis designation. its like calling an E30 a mk2.
i only point this out because the diehards hate when scenester kids come in and destroy the harder and harder find rabbits. it happens here tooSimon

While I've never met Joel, he is part of our local car club and you can see his build here:
Personally, I like it. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears in that car and I think we all can appreciate that...Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy..Comment

Howdy yall I own the car. Thanks for the compliments and critiques. Just wanted to say that I will track the car. It is not just show. I just finished it and wanted it well documented professionally before ripping the crap out of it. It will be properly tuned this spring. The craftsmanship is quality. I can understand people not liking it. That is totally fine with me. Once again. Thanks! :)Comment

I like the fact that you had a vision and went with it. Everyone can build a purpose built car, it takes creativity to make something that is your own.
Hope to see it at sowo in 2013 :)

not my style, but I like it.
every car does not need to be purpose built, as long as you enjoy it, that is the only thig that matters.
I love how you talk about the smells of the car, that is EXACTLY how I feel about my cars, also the smelling if something is wrong is so correct!Comment
