Need help on paper, computers and automobiles.

Mods-if this belongs in OT then by all means move it.

I have to write a paper for my computer science class about automobiles and computers,
I was thinking about talking about the early cars before fuel injection, and then talk about OBD-I and OBD-II computer systems, things like ABS, and all the other computers in cars,
Then I was also going to talk about the future like cyber cars or things like GPS or night vision.

I need to find a couple of books or magazines or online references to use and to learn some things about how all of these things work and etc.

    Thanks for the help guys.

I'm writing 16 pages on traffic congestion, and i'm a polisci major, bleh.

Mike- try places like popular mechanics and popular science, as well as the howstuffworks suggestion. The topic you're suggesting is pretty vague, if you focus it a little bit (you may have, just didnt elaborate) you'll have an easier time finding sources. I know for me, an open ended assignment (broad, sweeping questions, etc) is the devil. Once I decide what direction I need to take, I have a much easier time. This usually means I end up banging out introductions 3 or 4 times and completely scraping them.

I did almost an exactly same paper with a presentation. I basically used Google and Howstuffworks. I used pictures of cars on dynos, fuel charts, dyno charts, stuff like that. iDrive is a good thing to mention in the paper, I did in mine and my teacher owned a 745iL so he liked that little section.

That was going to my suggestion, awesome site.

And I don't know how I'd have done a lot my homework without google, etc. It makes finding information soooo much easier and faster.

Yeah, it's awesome, but it gets some people in trouble. There was just an article in our school paper quoting a teacher who said she uses google to find plaigerizers. :)

Teachers aren't dumb, its easy to tell if someone is plagarizing even without the internet.

Unless your german is good enough, to ask some one on a germany essay website to translate a german paper into english.

If automobiles advanced at the rate of computers, you'd have to buy a new car everytime they repainted the lines on the road. :D
