Prepare for the 2000 posts that will call this thread a repost

Now having driven a couple of 190 2.3-16s I can see where one might favor the 190. It's built well, ridesrides great, has 2 extra doors. Some innovative tech and some not so innovative. Which car is better depends on what's more important to the person answering the question. Performance wise...the m3 wins hands down. Luxury, look (subjective), rarity, 4 doors, nicer interior? Certainly a better bargain considering how much m3s are going for. There are pros and cons but its still a nice car for the money.

If the 190 truly was better we'd all be driving clapped out Benzs now wouldn't we?

                  Yeah.

I agree completely, 190 2.3-16V is no slouch. The M3 was developed because of the success of the 190. Nice car for the $

My father in law had a couple 190s in the 90s... No doubt they have a solid Teutonic feeling whenever and wherever you touch them while also being luxurious and fun to drive. If you want more luxury, you choose the 190, if u want more sport, you choose the e30.
