I like stance and all, but you can't really say that you can drive and autocross a "stanced" car when you raise it up to do that. I'm not trying to argue but it changes:D

Appriciate the complement.I'm in the same boat. One of my first cars was a 2006 Nissan Titan with a long travel suspension. It gave me about 6-7" of lift (close to 20" of travel) and it sat on 37" tires. Never heard of stance till I got in the e30 scene.
Same as you, "to each his own" I don't hate it, but I don't entirely love it. Some of the cars are absolutely ridiculous, while some of them are simply astounding. Depends on the style of the car and the execution of it's upgrades IMO.
P.S- E30SPDFRK, your car is modified perfectly. I was actually looking at it on the bagged thread last night admiring it, this is an example of an "astounding execution" as I previously referenced.
While this is just stupid/ridiculous in my opinion...but as I said, to each his own.

I actually think that GS is pretty tasteful compared to most of the VIP scene. It has a bit too much camber in the back, but it's bagged and was never meant to be a performance car.

It's cool seeing families get into the car scene as well. Just like a family with multiple E30's (One for mom, dad, etc) is awesome in our eyes, there's others that embrace the "stanced or bagged" lifestyle as well. As seen here at a local photo shoot. A bagged Audi for dad and a bagged minivan for mom lol, it's just what they are into.Comment

So you drive around with your oil pan 1/4" off the ground? I honestly love your car's stance, I just don't have the balls to drive that low.
And OP--I have an e30 that can either do a bad job of going fast, or a great job of looking good. I try to balance them both, and I'm currently getting parts and such to redo the entire suspension. I picked performance rates, and I'm paying for strictly performance parts (like an X-brace) because I want the car to be fun and still be able to take a corner, but at the end of the day form trumps function for me. Verts are super fun, and I don't need to be able to round a corner as fast as everyone else to still have fun with it. Even a pretty slammed e30 will outhandle the vast, vast majority of cars on the road.The first car I ever rode in was an e30

With an oil pan that low a skid plate would sit on the ground. Assuming your motor mounts are in good shape, they're designed to sit about an inch from the pan.The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Everyone has there own like & dislikes as it has been stated. I don't get the hate some people have for it and I do mean "hate" lol. Not criticism but full blown I wanna smash your skull in with a tire iron hate.
My personal liking is towards ride height and wheel fitment. I am not a fan of camber. If I can I would try to keep it as straight and "flush" to the body of the car. Lately some opinions of fellow r3vers have made me like the meaty tires on wheels look over the stretch and poke.

My thoughts on Stance have always been pretty much the same ever since I began to notice it.
Its Stupid and Pointless.
Yes I do piss off some people with that statement, and i honestly could careless what people do with their cars (they have every right to do whatever) but I do not see the point whatsoever.
My Mtech is as low as I would want it to me, still has a fairly uniform space around the front tire, little tuck in the rear, and its low enough where I need to worry about every freaking thing I drive over.
Seeing these cars slammed to the ground, tucking front tire as well, crazy stretched tires, rolled fenders that stick out just don't do it for me.
These cars were designed to handle, were designed to drive, and nobody here will convince me a stretched tire is a good way to roll. Hell some of them have over an inch from the edge of the rim to the actual start of the damn sidewall.. Really?
Now I do care about suspension, don't get me wrong, but going through tons of oil pans, scraping everywhere, and in general just destroying the quality of a car is not my idea of "well built"
My thought on ride height and adjustability falls under my racing background, where ride height, compression, rebound, camber, toe all effect how a car performs at the limit. I could care less how the thing looks, as long as it drives around the track as fast / faster as the other guys.
Harsh I know, and I know many people who have stanced out rides and by no mean any disrepect for them, I just think its stupid. Just like many think my fake kopi alpinas are dumb, or how I spent money on an M20 stroker versus just doing an S50 swap.
Opinions are like assholes, we have all them, and most of the time they stink.
