e36 M3 For Sale...opinions?

My opinion:
1) e36 m3's are only good as a driver's car, and the auto basically cancels that out

2) those e46 m3 wheels are some of the ugliest wheels BMW ever put on their cars

e46 m3 wheels are one of the nicest wheels bmw has made. They suit the e46 m3 perfectly.

As stated before, the wheels look great on the car but Auto kills it. Plus not a fan of the 4 door e36 m3s. Coupe looks nicer.

When I saw that episode I thought that that has got to be one of the most ignorant things he's ever said about cars...

Agreed. Even though i've never bought a lowered car.

Of course this is all a matter of opinion, but those 18" ones were terrible. I just don't like the convex spoke design, among other things about them. The e46 M3 19" wheels were a bit better and the BBS ZCP ones are awesome.

I don't mind the auto and wheels and sedan part of it. But is it a good deal? with all that in mind.

Does anyone have experience with the reliability of the auto transmissions on these cars?

Yeah I'd say it's likely a good deal if everything checks out okay and the cosmetic condition is up to your standards.

I also emailed the seller. An auto doesn't kill it for me as I dont' mind not having to shift in all this damn traffic (at least that's what the old lady wants).

I'd buy it...the mileage seems legit esp. for a Vancouver car.

I tend to agree...on the e46 m3 the 18" wheels are really bad, ive only seen one case where they were nice (painted black though), the 19's are nice though.

I still think the e46 is nicer, but like you said it's all based on opinion.

It's a great deal if you can get it for 4. They are reliable but their water pumps are horrible.

I remember this car being posted up for sale for quite some time. Back before I got banned I remember a chatbox discussion about it. I can't quite remember what the discussion was about but i think there were some reasons for the price being so low and it being on the market forever.
