    Injector lbs ?

This guy on my facebook is selling his injectors

I know the e30 has 17lbs ( obviously less weight = faster). Why would anyone want injectors that weight 32lbs each, thats just like putting weights on your car. I know the S52 has 21.5 injectors to keep the plastic manifold from coming off ( plastic is lighter than the M20s intake manifold, and its made out of metal).

He said that they made his car faster but I don't believe him, can anyone explain how this is possible for me ?

    Thanks guys.

    Lol. Is this a joke?

1st off, the injectors do not hold the manifold on.
Second, e30's do not have 17lb injectors...and 17lb injectors does not mean they weigh 17lbs. The lb rating is how many pounds of fuel per hour they flow...really for BMWs and on the metric system its cc's. Bigger injectors = more fuel....it will not make your car faster unless your motor is fuel starved (If its stock it's not).

Yeah, but you are still pushing more weight into the motor so my previous statements still stand. So why ?

You've got it all wrong. You don't use 6 injectors, you only use 3. Each injectors covers two cylinders.

            6 17lb injectors = 102lbs
            3 32lb injectors = 96lbs

                  Hey buddy,

                  One lb = 454 g

                  Each injector is only about 10 - 15 g.

They make the car faster because they're yellow, and yellow is higher up on the rainbow than blue. Yellow had to cover a greater distance than blue in the same amount time when the rainbow arced from left to right, therefore yellow = faster.
