    To buy...or not to buy!?

Hello fellow e30 drivers, I recently stumbled across an e30 vert, and I'm debating on buying an e30 again. Long story short, I had an 86' e30 coupe "project", gave up due to work and my son was about to be born, so I sold it for very cheap ($200:nice:) yes I know, and got out of the car world for about 1 year, now I'm going crazy not working on cars anymore, but still have a hot spot for e30s. Now this vert is for $400, no engine and no top, perfect for a project I suppose. I'm a turbo guy, so laying a v8 twin turbo would be a dream, especially on an e30. So what do you guys think? I was out on the hunt for a coupe but why not a vert. I was offered a 91 240sx for $500 that is working and starts with 129,xxx miles, but now I'm debating if that's what I really want. Well any help guys is appreciated, thanks.

I have an '88 vet and the stock engine is far more than enough. If you put a turbo V8 in a vert, you will not like it. You might be able to drive it like grandma in a Buick, but then what's the point?

A twin turbo V8 is too much power for any E30.

well Ive been thinking about it, but wasn't sure if the e30 was the right platform. I had a nice 1g dsm, with an hx40 turbo and and ran 27psi, of course I still seek more power, but I think a v8 would be the way to go.

Only a Miata or S2K should be convertible.

I would rock a vert' I would probably not twin turbo V8'ify it though. but I would in no way be opposed to you doing it.

do what you feel, with what car you want.

I'm going single turbo after college. With the kit I'm looking at, could safely run ~700+hp/tq. Until I save up for the TT 527ci crate motor :)

An m20 , m30, m42 or m50 turbo would be plenty. I dont even know how you would twin turbo v8 an e30 .
