e28 trade for e30

No I didnt meet oiler, but i did see he car. I have love hate relationship with mines. Just last week the door chime thing would not go off. Now the tranny is starting to slip so I guess there is a 5 speed swap in its future. Any idea on the cost to do the swap.

Oh snap! I knew I recognized that car! Keep in mind, i have a soft spot for 528E's. People here will say they are dogs, and to get rid of them, but, they are roomy, get great gas mileage for their age and size, never have to pass emissions, look cool, and are reliable. One of my biggest regrets is selling mine. While not the nicest e28, it cost me almost nothing to build. I think I was @ 3k in when I sold it, with the euro lights and rims. There's just too many parts out there for these.


Did you meet my buddy oiler> He had a dark gray one with tan interior, his front quarter panel was dented up due to a recent wreck, but his 528 is so awesome. I don't know man, I love them. More than a 4 door e30 auto. That's for sure.

It has a couple of issues, maybe I'll bring it over to you to go through. by the way, I was at the swap meet Saturday.

I would stick with the e28. If it's reliable, deal with it. It isn't iike that e30 with an auto is going to be much faster.

The eta auto sucks big time. I actually like the looks. I have a m50 going in the red one. Just need to figure out what to do with the e28. I was considering another e30 because my lady wants to drive the vert when its done.

Youre talking about that red one on jackstands arent you? Looks pretty good, but, the e28 has more room. I would spend the money it takes to swap the auto in that e30 on your e28. That being said. I have a good auto tranny I would install into your car for @ 800 bucks.

so such thing as an ugly e28. but id do the 5 speed swap and lower it on style 5's and call it a day.

Nice bike...

If you already have an e30, then I'd take a look at the price of gas (if you care) and cherish your ugly 528e automatic...buy some airbags and rims and call it a day...or do the manual swap to the e30.

The main issue is that the car is an automatic. Manual swap it. It needs a new transmission anyway.

5speed or auto?

if auto 528e, trade now.

if 535i 5 speed, keep keep keep!!
