One other thing, why is called a slicktop versus hardtop? And everyone seems to shy away from convertibles, is there a particular reason why? Crappy maintenance or vert motor?

Slicktop refers to the lack of a sunroof. I wouldn't say most people shy away from verts, people who buy verts are simply looking for something different than people who don't buy them.
