I have bought complete cars that had fixable problems, but parted them out to the shell instead, because I wanted the drivetrains/suspensions/etc, and that is the most cost effective way to do it, you get the parts you want, and usually come out ontop money-wise.
And, the cars you DO drive just went up in value.Leave a comment:

I hate seeing a salvageable car parted out too. Although the fewer there are, the more mine is worth.Leave a comment:

i would return a car to stock and then sell off the nice parts and the car later if nobody was biting on the whole package, but i could never part out the whole thing. that just seems like a waste.Leave a comment:

a few years ago I parted out this car because I didn't want it anymore and knew I could get more money for it in parts. Mariano has the M tech I kit actually.

kind a shame, but hell, it's an E30 and there were millions of em built.Leave a comment:

Tell me I am stupid
I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I have a feeling some will call me stupid.
I HATE seeing a perfectly good running e30 being posted as a part out. Does anyone agree?
It is even worse when the op states all recent service and even makes the car sound like a good buy.....Why do people part out perfectly good cars? Am I missing something?
Stop parting out good e30s!!!!Tags: None
