I'm trying to filter out the 'maybes' right now. James and I are definitely in so far. I don't imagine the pallet will leave the UK for at least a couple of weeks. James' dad works for a shipping company. He asked him to look into the customs taxes.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are. -

Those are specialty parts and kind of rare. I doubt Jon has the time to search all over for them. You'd probably be better off finding them on ebay.deOriginally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

I just shipped a head ina wodden box and the total weight was 100 lbs so you would be looking in the range of $55 dollars to get it there safely.
WOODEN box with handles makes life easy for the UPS dude. Protect your item and won't crash thru the side of a cardboard box unless you FIP (foam in place). But I don't know many people with access to one of those.Comment

Ya I've shipped 3 heads in the last couple weeks the lightest was 42 lbs. I used 6 sewing machine boxes per head and had no problems. I was shipping threw fedex and each head did cost me ruffly $20 to ship. UPS would of been around $5085 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

So have you determined how you are going to break up the intial shipping cost for the bulk of parts and who has to pay what for customs if there is duty on them?
How long will it take to be shipped from UK to Washington state? Will there be charges involved with International Brotherhood of Dockworkers?
I have been waiting on answers from a friend of mine who is a registered importer. About bring a chassis in sans an engine.Comment
