Didn't your old e30 have a crimson red interior? I remember it being a different red than cardinal. I still regret not buying that thing.

It did, they switched from Cardinal to Crimson in 89 or 90. And yeah Crimson is a darker red then Cardinal.

looks really nice, I dunno about collector car, but it's interesting that I paid $7000 for mine 10 years ago in pretty much the same condition, same year, only mine is a 4 door and had sport seats.

if you bought it to collect that means it stays automatic, although they made pretty much equal amounts of both so buying it just to collect it really doesn't matter.

you can debadge and keep OG paint with no issues.
if theres grime you just need to claybar/wax it off.
