If you've been chillin in the shadows for a year then you should know r3v's humor.

Drive that mofo. Like previously mention ask for him to pitch in on gas money if needed

Id rather drive the e30 than an SUV but thats me. Youll also be a better driver learning to maneuver the e30 through a winter. Plus with good snows they are awesome and a lot more fun than an X5
I understand your dads concerns however but i think they are misplaced
X5 is a safer vehicle overall though

Bahhh Little more in Bean Town than NYC...

Big snow storms involve me cruising to Loon or Waterville, just saying.

                                ^that's exactly how I feel..

I don't really see any of this is being spoiled at all, I never asked or wanted this, but I do appreciate my dad's concern. It's just like choosing a sedan/coupe or an SUV to buy because my e30 will be sitting in the garage for years and don't know if I would want that :/
and to those who've mentioned repairs/maintenance $, I've also heard many problems with x5's so I'm afraid of the car breaking down anywhere, but my dad's a mechanic at BMW so that saves a lot of $ too phew
