Not a bad position to be in. You still have the E30, your dad got you something most of us would not get from our own father. Just QQ to him when you need gas money.

Big snow storms involve me cruising to Loon or Waterville, just saying.
This isn't meant for bragging rights or spreading my chest and beating it, etc. But here's the poster hanging on my pantry. The lowest annual snowfall on record is double what y'all get.
The average overall, is 5.5 times what you get.

I do a lot of snowmobiling and would kill to have that in my back yard!
I do a lot of trailering to ride, 10+ hours in the truck sometimes to get to where the good riding is. (Quebec for us east coasters)
I googled your coordinates and can tell you're in the thick of it. You ride?

I've built/bought my cars, but it's not like any of us wouldn't take a hand-me-down E30 if we had the chance. The way I see it, you can avoid the "spoiled" label a lot better if you do your own work/pay for parts and gas.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? I guess I can't blame anyone for calling me spoiled because there must be some differences in culture or some generation gap, but my parents would never take any $ from me. I do pay for my own gas, I find it unnecessary to take any $ from my parents for my own transportation. It's just my dad likes buying used BMWs to fix up and instead of selling the old ones, he'd just pass them to me or my brother. This is all besides the point; I guess I didn't make mine clear. I was just wondering if it'd be necessary to have this X5 instead of my E30 because I would basically be driving this X5 for years while leaving my E30 in the garage. I did not really find this SUV to be necessary so if anything I would tell my dad not to buy it. That's all, and sorry for any confusion or problems, but we can all move on now!

hey man, you're cool. don't worry about the people telling you you're spoiled or what not, and even my comment.. it's just sort of resentful. truth is, we all come from different backgrounds and have different amounts of liquid cash to play with, but at the end of the day we're all richer than damn near 95% of the world's population, so it's just a moot point to be arguing about it.
i would drive the X5 and make the E30 a toy. if you and your dad share a common interest and you both work together with it, that's awesome. none of us can say anything otherwise.

yes
we are all from different back grounds. I bought all my cars, and house, paid my own insurance since 16, my parents really didnt buy me anything. And I am extremely thankful for it because I respect my things alot more since they are actually mine. Plus I feel more prideful not taking handouts.
If your mommy and daddy buy you everything=spoiled
Just dont turn into one of those douche kids who butch and whine in the real world when shit doesnt go there way:o
