    manual e23

I had an 83 733 with a 5 speed .. loved the car especially since it was 200 bucks...
I was thinking about the car today and wondering how many there are around stil with manual transmission .. I've never seen another

I've seen a few over the years. One of my 265 5 speeds is out of a junkyard '82 e23.

Last year there was a 5 speed E32 at a local yard, heard there were not very many of those...

Wow, just think, they used to make 7-series with the manual. Now, even the latest 5-series does not even have it.....the slow death of a fully manual transmission.
The 3-series will not have it in 2 generations or less.

that isn't even remotely true............ I drive manual F12s every day. Even the 550i comes with a manual in the U.S. only.

I test drove a manual e23 once, it was actually the car i was going to get to learn how to drive stick when i was 15 but it needed way to much work for the price.

It was kinda neat to be in that much comfort but have a manual.

That's cool if they do. For some odd reason I was thinking BMW no longer offers 5 series manual in North America.

Def seems like manual transmission is becoming a thing of the past, shame, I can't imagine enjoying dct, smg or whatever as much as a true manual

with auto trannies becoming so advanced (better performance, lighter, and cheaper than conventional units) why bother rowing you own gears ?

But yes, i agree, it is a bit sad
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

I prefer an automatic in anything the size of an E39 and up. Manuals are fun in small cars, but it's unnecessary work in a big sedan.
