On most tracks and auto-x's, you're required to have your windows down.

Its hard to lower your rear and back windows down in an E30. I have yet to have any visibility issues with 35% tint.
      Im now E30less.

I find it interesting that you have to have your windows down.. i guess if you rollover, then at least "less" glass gets in your eyes and shit... is that the reason? bc when you're going like 80, there's alot of drag ....

granted, i never went to the track before, but what's the reason?

It's seriously not that hard to see out, even with 20% in the rear sides & back during racing. I can see fine even with 5% in my S2k in the light of day. Besides, it'll usually be light out when you're on the track, so if you can't see, you shouldn't be driving.

The reason why you need your windows down, is because you're required to wear a helmet. Helmet + Glass is not a good thing.

Rescue and signaling. Provided that you didnt roll over and knock out all your windows its easier than them having to break the window to drag your ass out.

Also often you have to communicate with courseworkers.

a pro tint cost around 160, well worth it if I had the extra 160 and decent looking window mouldings
