yeaaah... i just wanted to make sure what the ones thought who have been around these cars. $9,000 for a 21 year old car... rebuilt or not, is alittle off. I mean it is in really, really good condition. But that just seemed steep.

What? It's not like M20's cost thousands. offer him $250 less to buy an M20

someone will buy it. specially if it's all quality and well though out work.

FWIW the FK coils are nothing special. They range in price from $550 to $1200 brand new depending on version. Nothing else in the suspension that you listed is worth paying extra for, though honestly, neither are these coils. Don't pay extra for what is honestly worse than stock suspension.

            The car is way overpriced.

Personally I would never buy a car from a friend

It seems way overpriced to me, 5 or 6 grand seems more realistic, it looks nice with the bbs but its still a high mileage 21 yr old car with nothing really special about it, sorry to be blunt

Mike, just agreeing with everyone else. That's a lot. After all, it's just a E30 on bbs's. no swap, no air, no nothin'. Like to see some interior pics though.

6K TOPS. Especially for an M42. It looks good but you can find a clean example for 3K and bring it up to that spec for another 3K, so 6K.

                          1. Friendship and business (*money can be substituted) simply don't mix. If this were a regular PP sale, obviously the "Buyer Beware" rule of thumb would apply- releasing them of liability, but this isn't the case. If the whole thing blows up, needs excessive/neglected maintenance, or there's undisclosed shit you notice later, etc. you're most likely going to want to confront him since he's your friend. Although there is a general consensus when purchasing a car- no refunds, no "buyers remorse", no liability after the sale, etc. you have to keep in mind you're dealing with a friend here. Worst case scenario- one of the above happens, you confront him, shit hits the fan, and there goes your friendship (while being stuck with the car).

                          2. Gorgeous car, but I personally couldn't justify paying the asking amount. The gutless motor has been rebuilt, it's on an average suspension, it does have a great looking respray from what I can see, of course the BBS's, but nothing about it really justify's a $9,000 asking price IMO. To me, that's swapped/turbo'd/100% OEM/Perfection price territory. Hell- he even ran over his IS lip from what it looks like, for $9k he should get that shit repainted!

                          3. If you can get a good deal (with or without the wheels) this is an awesome looking car and could be a great purchase. Just be aware of my #1 point, realize it's an issue that may come up, maybe even talk it over with him and come to an agreement; (Yes I'm confident in my car's condition, if anything happens I'll work with you...OR...Get fucked, this isn't a dealership and it doesn't come with a warranty.) Then form an opinion if you want to sail into those territories.

                          Just my two cents.

Its hard to tell from the pics but if the body is perfect, the interior is perfect, everything works as it should, the respray is in the factory color (or it was stripped to a shell for a proper color change) then I could see it being worth 9k.
