Wheel/Part Shipping

I wanted to see what you guys thought about creating a shipping thread for wheels/large parts. It would be great to hear your experience with shipping. Post these details:

-Where from/to(city or zipcode)
-What was shipped(any size or weight measurement if you have them)
-The price and who you shipped it through

I paid I believe $45-50 per wheel from the bay to Washington state, insured for $250 each, each box was I believe 23x23x12 and weighed around 45 pounds (wheels and tires with packaging and everything). I used ups ground.

UPS ground is the cheapest way to ship.

I shipped 2 sets (4 wheels) from wisco out to florida and SF Bay using Fedex.

Each set was shipped for around $80.

Wheels bound together in pairs. Cardboard sleeve circles on front and back, and tires to protect the outsides.
Zero damage, easy packaging.

I think the one time I did them in individual boxes and it came up to something around $25 a wheel.

cost 90$ to my door for (2) boxes with (2) wheels in each.

i shipped 4 wheels to kuntmasha (member here) who lives on the east coast. 16x8 20lbs per package for $25 dollars each shipped USPS.
