    how much do you think my car is worth?

    i was recently in an accident and im pretty sure my car is totaled. im curious how much you guys think i could get for it from insurance. 1987 325e. barely any rust. not too many dents. if you need to know anything else about the car, let me know.

      I got $2500 from my old 325e, same year. But it wasn't in as good shape as yours. I think anywhere under $3000 would be a fair estimate, to me. Hopefully that'll help you out.

      And sorry about the car too.

              2.5-3k sounds about right. Thats about what I got for my 325is the two times they totalled it out.

                  And another quick question. When the car is totaled, do you have to buy it back from insurance? Or do they just give it back to you?

                          In WI, you have to have a dealer license to buy the car back...not sure about other places.

                              No you don't. I know of at least 20 people that bought their cars back after being totaled. My father being one of them.

                                                      I did get some water tht somehow came in from the bottom of the car... No leaks in roof or door, but a huge puddle behind passenger seat...
