    bushings and whatnot

What's the deal with bushings? I was just looking at the akg website and they offer bushings in all sorts of materials and durometers. What's better, poly or delrin? I imagine the harder/solid ones are for racing applications. Also, how important is a diff bushing? I just put a 4.10 lsd in my car today and noticed the bushing is kind of shot. Is it really that important? The 4 bolts that bolt the diff to the subframe look like they do all they work. Thanks.

The diff bushing helps support the diff and subframe. It's all tied together.
    The subframe bushings flex alot.

If you just using the car for daily driver, then use stock bushings. If you race alot, use race bushings.

        Francis,
Yeah, they need to be refurb'd. They were originally gold. I thought they looked pretty cool that way. One of these days I'll have them media blasted and podwercoated. I'll keep the black in mind.

You want to avoid delrin for any street use unless you are Trent...

Go with stock rubber or urethane, they are a good compromise.
