    God dammit.

So I'm stuck in a hotel, 150 miles from home, waiting to fix my car in the morning when it's above freezing because my damned alternator seized up on the way home. Isn't life beautiful?

On the good side, one of my best friends from home actually drove the parts I needed from my storage room out to me. Plus, we got a kickass deal on a hotel room (king size bed [we've shared beds before, no biggie] for $74.25, regular rate is $120 but the lady at the desk gave me the AAA discount).

Yay for car work long distances from home. I have a newfound hatred for alternators, as this makes the fifth one I've had to install on our two E30s together.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

        ouch

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

Anybody got a method to the easiest, quickest way to do this thing? Preferably without having to jack the car up, but I will if I have to.

So you did end up getting Brian's car? Kick ass. I'm glad it went to someone like you. Good luck with the repairs and the journey home.

Yeah, I'm buying it, hoping to pick it up sometime towards the end of this month, looking at around the 29th if weather's not too bad between here and there.

Oh I know, I was just ready to go home after all my exams and now this. Not to mention it's cold as hell outside.

Oh I thought this post was about driving THAT car back. Well, good luck regardless.

I'd say got get it ASAP. Like this coming week. It only gets worse in NE from here... It's colder than average this year, but next week should be pretty clear weather wise.
