That would be a plus, but I think after hearing the stories, I'll keep it for awhile after I get a newer car and then see if I still drive it after that. I'll just have to park the new car on the side of the street or convince my wife to park hers.
(I don't think it will be a hard sell from the PM's I received. But I'll keep it off the market for now.)
Any regrets selling your E30?

Great story man.Story time.
My brother built a '71 Chevelle SS from the time he was 12. My Dad's friend sold it to him for $100. It was a piece of shit. He had to completely rebuild a 350 motor to put in it. But by the time he was old enough to drive, it was restored pretty good. He worked on that thing everyday and the roar of that engine filled the house every day and night when I was growing up. I remember he had second thoughts and put it up for sale one day, to get something more practical. A woman came by the house to look at it and offered $5000. He was about to take the money when my Dad told him the story of his own '70 Chevelle that he sold when he joined the Army right out of highschool. He told my brother he thinks about that car all the time and selling it was one of the biggest regrets of his life. So now the Chevelle is parked away in a barn, somewhere in the hilltowns of Massachusetts, being restored even further.
If my father was huge into motorcycles. He had a Triumph from the seventies that he restored and rode every weekend. He was killed in '09 (before I even had my license) in an accident on that bike. I never got a real chance to bond with him while working on cars like my older brother did but I think that's why I love my E30. It's not perfect and it's not 100% practical, but I take pride in working on it without much help from anyone else. But I think if you sold your car, it would haunt you forever. If you really love the thing, I'm sure you can find a place to store it and get something to drive daily. At least you wouldn't have to face the anguish of never seeing it again. (plus you can give it to your kid for their first car!)Leave a comment:

Get a new car, store the e30 and use it as a weekend car for a while. If you find that you are not wanting to drive the e30 much, then sell itLeave a comment:

If it were anyone else I'd say keep it, but since its you, I say sell it so I don't have to read your replies to P&R threads. Enjoy your cookie cutter Honda Civic sedan.Leave a comment:

A quote from you when I started the tread..."can you sell your e30?"
If you have enough coin to get a newer car, then find a place to store you e30 for a few bucks. I went on clist and found someone that has a mini-mansion that has the whole basement open with a garage. I just swap out cars from time to time. It's a great option and an easy search. The problem with mine is that the garage can store 5 cars...dangerous!!! :evil:Last edited by N2MYE30; 11-10-2012, 04:41 AM.Leave a comment:
