    Hey all,

    First post here.

I am hopefully picking up a e30 in the next couple of weeks a 318i.

My previous cars have been a 1999 Nissan Primera lowered on Super Low King Springs. a 1995 Nissan Silvia S14. My pride and joy, a 1990 NZ New Mazda MX-5.

Couple of pictures of that beneath :)

That was basically the day I brought the car.

    It now sits like this.

I love those early Miatas. Yours looks cool, though pink wheels would not have occurred to me. Good luck with the E30, looking forward to pics!

Haha cheers :) The pink wheels look cool. Plus I figure Miata's are gay boy cars. So why not make it gayer right? :D

Really looking forward to a bimmer!

Rust is that only thing that ever steers me away from buying a well priced e30. I personally don't care much about anything else on them since I can repair any problem they have.

What it boils down to is this: What is your budget, skill level for repairs and future plans?

                      Awesome.

Rust is the one thing that I always look out for.

Skill set I can do most, if I can't I have friends that can give me a hand.

                      How reliable are they?

I have been daily driving the e30s for 11 years. The m20 is one of the best designed engines you can get. Repairs are easy, power can be made with boost. IMO built m20s are better than 24v swaps. For the price of a s52 you can have a built m20 or a refreshed m20 on boost.

I scrapped my 24v plans and currently building a 3.0 m20 for boost down the road. I have a SETA b27 block and a b25 head conversion right now.

If I were you I would look for a 88+ e30 for the b25 engine. More HP and responds better to boost.

I'm not to fussed about power as the mx-5 will have a M45 Supercharger, then once I get sick of that a 280 - 300 hp turbo kit :)

As long as I can Daily Drive the E30 and use it as a surf wagon I'll be stoked =]
