Value of e30M3's holding its own

Was doing surfing on the web and found out that:

2001 e46M3 is creeping down as low as $25,000 at autotrader.com (a convertible!)

1995 e36M3 as low as $7,500 on ebay and some classifieds

While an 88-91 e30M3 in mint condition, easily sell $12-14,000 and on the bottom end for $8,000. Some super low mileage sell at $20,000 at least.

I figure in 2-3 years, it will be meeting the e46M3:)

Wondering what happens when the new 2007 M3 comes out...

Well considering that 7500 dollar m3 is probably a piece of garbage, its kinda unfair to compare to a mint e30m3.

The $7500 M3 is junk to begin with.

True true but with the amount of E36 M3's out there, you can find a few below the 10K mark that aren't garbage at all. I may have to pick up an E46 M3 next year =].

Shut the fuck up, Barry. Youre out of your element. Nah jk. I would LOVE an E46 ///M3 for a daily driver. It strikes such a balance between yuppy cushyness and every day usable license-losing performance. I didnt think Id love any new BMW like I do the E46 ///M3 despite its piggish characteristics. As soon as I cynically drove my moms, I was starting to try and find excuses to dislike it and keep myself staunchly and blindly old-school. But its ignorant to not be admitting where credit is due simply cuz its a new car and one prefers the old. Its a guilty pleasure of mine to take my moms car out and give it a good thrashing, like it deserves around the canyons near their pad. I can definitely see why youd be interested in one. Awesome cars, IMO. About the E30 ///M3s maintaing their value......E30 ///M3 0wnz all, haha. :) My opinion.

Kind of off topic but.Anyone in the market for flooded E46 M3s with less than 1k miles each? The european repair shop I just picked up another e30 from has a contact selling a package of 5 E46 M3s for $70k. and several 750is for 80k. Salavage titles cleared already.

That katrina muck couldnt be that bad could it?

my friends brother got a great deal on an '88 m3 for 7,500. I've never seen a deal like it, he's had the car over a year nad it hasn't been to the shop yet cuz it's got no issues. No rust either, and perfect body.

Well considering that one is a homoligation special that was made in relatively limited numbers and the other is mass marketed all over the world its to be expected. If they built as many E30 M3s or the E46 had any such sucess in the racing circuits it might be more desireable too.
                            Im now E30less.

Of the people I know personally, and on this side of the Atlantic. I should have specified. My bad. Theres this Evo3 that was recently imported to Canada from Belgium (Yes I have followed its whereabouts from Belgium, haha) which I consider to be the baddest ass ///M3 I have ever seen and its not even that modded. I dunno, its the one I have in my head as THE street ///M3. My opinion.
