Not that this is really an important point, but the 3 series has always been a sedan. It's more of a body style thing than a number-of-doors thing. The 2002 is a sport sedan, not a coupe. The 6 series is a coupe, not a 2-door sedan. Coupes have a lower, sweeping roofline and the rear seats are pushed a bit forward.
Not that any of this makes a 4 series a tiny bit necessary or valid, just clarifying.:)
dont like the fender side vents, from the side it looks like an Audi, the rear bottom section looks like the new charger tail lights. now I am starting to agree with some of you, BMW is going in a not so great path. :(
I'd almost understand the model shift of having the 3/5/7 as four door sedans and 1/4/6 as the coupes, but they went ahead and built a friggen' four door 6 series which still puzzles me and makes this 4 series pointless.
