I don't even know what I'd do if I encountered something like that in the e30, some of these things in that city are really unavoidable.

I haven't been to seattle for probably like 8-9 years, so I can't speak for there, but NYC is tough as hell to drive in.

BTW did you damage your upper pan?
upper pan is ok, lower pan as you can see is gone, about four bolts lefts on the lower pan, rest were cleanly ripped off thank god, and the pick up is gone along with one bolt....

Should prolly pick up a skid plate along with the new pan. First day I had my raceskid on I slammed it into my driveway trying to get it in the garage (leaky vert and sudden thunderstorm). Prolly would of destroyed the oil pan, but a couple scrapes is all it had. Cheap insurance.
I have friends who are EOD bro.

That's awesome. I have friends who make coffee for a living, but you don't see me rocking out a bunch of lattes

Honestly parts of Seattle are just as bad, anywhere 5th and towards the water is shitty roads and 45* inclines lol. Not to mention if you drive anywhere in fremont or Ballard, your car is fucked.

I hate driving my e30 in most of nyc... The streets are destroyed and if there fixing them they usually destroy them worse and leave em like that before they make anything better.

I recently moved to a city in which I quickly found out how shitty the roads are paved. Coming for Florida everything is super flat and smooth. My current E30 has installed race valved Bilsteins and 500f 650r springs. I can not tell you how much I hate driving my car now. Oh and yes I have cracked my oil pan not because I hit something, but because my motor support mount sheared and fell ontop of the steering rack.

Everybody thinks the worst roads in the world are right in their backyard. They suck in almost every urban area.
You've obviously never been to NYC before.

I cracked my pan on the FDR. For those outside of NY thats a F**king Highway. Only in NYC can you crack the oil pan doing 50 on a highway. It was lowered but not crazy low.

Yeah the FDR is a fucking joke. I'm glad I live in Westchester County where the roads are decent at best.

Yes, yes I have. And driven a couple thousand miles there. That doesn't make me an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I am familiar enough with the pavement, or lack there of in some places.
