I bought mine for $1700 and it is almost identical to what you just described. Seems like a fair price. Where's the rust?

You should go look at it and report back. $1600 seems very affordable for that. You could maybe even get it down to $1300 or something. Looks really clean from the outside, and the fact that it looks completely stock is a good thing too, means that some idiot hasn't tried to do stupid cheap mods to it. Nice rims on it too. Plus, 325IS is already a little bit better than just a 325I. I wonder if the ODO still works or stopped working and is working again?

I am shocked the guy is not asking 3K+ for it given the morons today. Depending on running factor it looks worth his asking. Nothing wrong with trying to knock 2-300 off it. Cash really talks in person, just be really nice and I am sure he would work with you.

IMO it has every winning factor save for euro bumpers:
SETA engine, 5spd, clean and nice paint(what I could see)

I would snag it and do a b27i conversion and daily the shit out of it.

And I think with an 88 its better to just go plastic bumpers. :D

Should have made an offer if the body and paint were nice.

All of the other stuff can easily be fixed.
