I would've tried to lowball him if it was as you said.
The IS I just picked up was in much worse condition, but it was running and it's an IS, so it's worth the value in money spent fixing it up; guy wanted $1400, ended up leaving home that night with $700 out of pocket and a sweet IS project

You should do it, and make sure to tell him why you are lowballing him since he said he doesn't know anything about cars. Tell him how much it'll cost you to fix that stuff and how you can get a nicer one for not much more than he is selling his for.

ya i started it up and drove it. the shifter is loose as hell for some reason i dont know. probably because it had a shitty ass walmart shift knob. brakes are wierd. its all fixable stuff thosigpicOriginally posted by fronton
