wow...so....i went out and met chris and matt where they were stranded at the baytown valero along highway 10. to make a long story really short, i ended up trading my 91 silver ix for chris's mtech 2 cabrio with a broken oil pan.

after a trip from kingwood to baytown to take a look at what was wrong with his car, then another trip back with my truck and trailer we hauled it up to my house, swapped the wheels and a few other things. then these guys left my house about 5:30 pm headed for cali in the ix. i guess this shit doesn't happen every day.

i know it must have been a hell of a disaster of a trip for those guys. at least they didn't have to buy airline tickets at the walk up rate to get home in addition to having the car shipped from east texas.

i think the cabrio is probably worth a little more than my ix. it needs some work though. other than changing the oil pan... mainly, the previous owner slammed the car which i absolutely hate. the quarters and front fenders were rolled and the front fenders will need replacement. otherwise, just lots of little items to make it a pretty nice.car.

the car has an ejknight skidplate. i have always thought really highly of this product. i guess in this case, it took such a a forceful inpact that the plate was smashed along with the pan. there is a hole in the driver's side of the pan about 2"x3.
