the hardtop is mine from the car in my sig. the soft top need to be changed.

they said they shut the engine off right away. i am going to check the bearings when i change to pan to be sure.

I love it here. I bought another e30 promptly. It's a 92 vert in granitsilber. Luke has it right now - he's installing a vert lukebox.

Cool story - literally. Ditch the Tail lights and get it raised (not everyday thats said on r3v huh? ;) ) and that car will be in good looking condition. Congrats! What was your iX like?

yeah, all the ghey shit is coming off. there are actually a minty set of stock tails in the trunk that came with the car.

the ix was well sorted. lachsilber with cardinal interior that was in good shape. manual trans. rebuilt xfer case. inspection/registration current. the car had been repainted a long time ago, but the paint was uniformly faded all around. there was one rust spot on the rear valance under the battery. the rest was completely rust free. no accidents. all panels had matching factory vins. it was very stock other than bosch mercedes hi beams and an e28is spoiler. and all the little bs problems had been fixed all around the car.


i ran an autocheck on the car and it came back with a relatively low score of 10. there are no accidents, but it apparently began life as a rental car. looks like i am going to be the 8th owner. the good news is that it came from the factory with a manual trans. that is pretty rare for an mtech 2.

does anyone know how to run the vin through bmw? i think this one originally had lotus interior that was changed out at some point. thats fine with me since i don't care for the white anyway. i would like to know more about its history, though.

To have your V.I.N decoded by BMW you can go to your local dealership and see if they will do it. You can post in this thread http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=91965&start=150 or PM the guy over there that was decoding them and see if you get a response.
