Just called odometer stopped counting at 200k. Even with lower mileage I wouldn't think it would go for $8k. In my head the e30 is one of those cars where mileage doesn't count, just cleanliness, all else is easily swapable. I don't get why everyone's mentioning mileage. There is a guy on this board you bought a mint 88 with 176k. He paid $7k. He also knew that 88 would easily swap pb's and planned to do so. May have been a determining factor in why he bid so high for it (It was on ebay). I don't think its worth a penny over $6k. Plus every one seems to hate bronzit.

I do agree with this mostly. but you gotta figure alot of the bushings and driveline components all have 200k + on them. Not they aren't replaceable. but it makes for alot more work.

Just sayin. I do agree for the most part Mileage is just a number with E30s. and as long as the body is in good condition, its worth it.

strictly based on looks though, 8k tops, and the miles would have to be way below 100k

Exactly - at least $8k. With the car looking the way it does I'd be surprised if the maintenance were lacking.

            This.

More miles means more wear. Sure it's all swappable.... But who wants to invest another 2-3 thousand after paying upwards of 8k for a car?

Now if bushings/suspension etc along with all the regular service intervals where addressed, and it was kept completely rust free, it would change that.

I really hope it sells for a decent amount. I like that these cars are going up in price. But 11k is a little hopeful.

You guys are in denial. Clean, original E30s are in demand, and - surprise, surprise - prices have been creeping up. Go back and check what other high mileage E30s in mint condition have sold for in recent months.

Well, this whole discussion makes me feel better about what I paid for my car...

But yeah, 11k is still nuts. 8k is still high for a high-mileage car. I could see it going for 8k if it had somewhere around 100-130k on it.

This car would be worth 7 max if it were a late model. I say 5k or 6K as it sits now. If this car were s50'd with euro bumpers it'd be a $11k probably $10k car, not as it is.

What crackden did you guys crawl out of?
$11k is swap car territory; the only stock car I've seen go for higher than $6k was an 89 IS that was dialed inside and out that had 120k on it. Every single bushing and bearing was replaced with receipts, had brand new proffessional paint, and that only managed to sell for $9k

This car is $5k MAX. I don't care what you guys say about prices rising, $11k is still way out of line. If it were late model, I could see it fetching $6k, but no where near his asking
