der affe, I'm afraid the 'kids' are right. A shoulder harness + collapsing roof + no roll-bar or cage = bad times. True, if you have the harness installed improperly you will have issues EVEN IF your roof doesn't collapse, but that doesn't invalidate the first statement: the only time you should have a harness in your car is with a roll bar or cage. And a HANS on.

Those seats are tits! No idea what they are though, but they're awesome.
FWIW for all the harness discussion in this thread, I can safely say that I am one lucky mother fucker, and please be careful. See car in sig. I left the road at approximately 63mph (I have a huge digital display on my dash, I just remember seeing that number flash by) , hit a tree, and flipped/barrel rolled/endo'd several times (5 times, probably) and ended up at least 150 feet later upside down in a dry creek bed. Yeah, I fucked up hard core, but the car was built for it, if anything was. Everything else I have have had is either stock safety equipment, or built like a goddamn tank, like that. Full custom built cage, Sparco Evo's and Schroth Rallye 4's. I walked away with no more than a sore leg from the door X bar, and a gnarly looking eyeball with hyphema for a couple weeks. I can only assume the side of my face busted out the driver side window when I contacted the tree on the left rear quarter.
The car was completely fucked. The steel seat bases even bent a little where they were attached to the floor, and I am convinced the roof would have came in completely flat had there not been a cage. The main hoop across the top was actually bent down a little bit, barely noticeable but definitely bent.
I believe that all three pieces go together. Being a cage, fixed seats, and harnesses. If one isnt there, the other two shouldn't be. At the very least, a cage or roll bar with a harness if fixed seats are too rich. I know it was worth it though to have it all.
