      HAY WHERE IS SCOT?

I TRIED SENDING SMOKE SIGNALS, AND CARRIER PIGEONS, AND LIKE other TYPE OF MESSAGES TOO... BUT I NEVER HEARD BACK.

DO YOU THINK HE ATE MY PIGEONS AND BLEW AWAY MY SMOKE?

      OMG!
      Below the radar...

It doesn't matter, no matter how hard I try, or free parts I send out, or hours I spend wrenching other peoples' cars, the e30 world will always find a way to slander even the most generous folks on here.

I'm sick to my stomach from this. I am in utter shock.

Okay, so I've read this thread all day, and I still can't make fucking heads or tails of it.

It looks like everyone is trying to do some sort of 3rd party deal with scott as a proxy. Trying to follow the logistics of this multi-state, multi-party deal makes no sense to me. Scott sold a car that wasn't his, "Andre" sold a head that wasn't his, and everyone was trusting everyone else to do the leg work. None of this shit seems to be going through in a timely fashion, and money has already changed hands. Scott, I understand this isn't your full time job, but if you've got their money, you can't just sit on this shit.

Personally, the whole pseudo-barter deal of this whole incident boggles my mind, I really don't know what you guys are thinking.

I like pie. Scott has always been great especially when there was a problem.

If you can't make heads or tails of it, how can you make the above comment?

Dave was made FULLY aware that I DID NOT have the title, but would do everything in my power short of breaking into the PO's house and retrieving the title (which I may have to do to calm this riot) and he was given the opportunity to postpone the trade until I had the title securely in my own possesion, but decided to make the trade and wait for the paperwork.

Again, HIS DECISION. I have tried contacting the previous owner with no luck. The only time I got him, he was more than cooperative, agreed to send the paperwork in (that I sent to him - duplicate title form, all filled out except his signature, money order made out the the RMV for the $25 fee, and even an addressed, stamped envelope the the RMV title department - all he had to do was sign it, seal it, and put it in the mailbox.)

Now all of a sudden I'm a bad person, because this guy won't call me back and let me know the title is back. I've been in CONSTANT contact with Dave and have kept him in the loop on any communications (or in this case, the lack thereof) with the PO. Why all of a sudden he's on a rampage, I don't know. Could have easily sent me a PM saying he was upset, and this would have been avoided.

As for Andre (ColdAccord). He sold a cylinder head that was damaged in shipping. I saw his post and offered to send one to his buyer to replace it, and in return, he was going to send the euro rear bumper to Devon (eightyfoure) that I had purchased from him. I cover shipping on the head, he covers shipping on the bumper.

He left me a message a week or so ago saying that he had a chance to get to the post office, so he sent it out. I had asked him for a shipping quote, but he skipped that part as HE was BUSY and knew he wouldn't get another chance to ship the bumper.

I had told Andre that I was going to get the cylinder head out asap, but no timeline was ever determined or promised, nor was there any money sent to me to "sit on," in Dave's case or in Andre's.

I've said over and over and OVER again, I sell stuff cheap because I can often have weeks before I get a free second to ship something out. Add to that the time it takes to pull a head off an engine - and it's even harder to make the time. HAD HE MADE IT CLEAR there was a specific deadline, I would have met it. But he just said as soon as you can, as the buyer was upset.

Now I've got both of these guys joining in on how much I suck, and it's really disappointing. I've got 5 or 6 e30's I was still hoping to part out, and a garage full of extra parts, but this just isn't worth it. I've sent stuff out for free and even paid the shipping just because that's how I am.

You all need to take a breath and think about what's going on here.

                    Scott,

Seriously, all of this bullshit occured because you're trying to act as some sort of escrow or third party legman. Why are you putting yourself in that position?

Part cars out and sell the stuff direct. Don't try and act as a middleman in deals, which it appears like you were doing with Dave.

My "I can't make heads or tails of this" comment was due to the fact that it looks like there's more than just money changing hands for this. It looks like we're exchanging services, trading parts, etc. That's insane. Straight money, nothing else. Anything else in long distance transactions with people you don't know is setting yourself up for disaster.

I can back Scott for being a great person to deal with. He is exretemly busy, but even when things don't go his way he never complains. Scott is a great guy and does tons for the community. I can't believe my eyes reading through this thread. Go ahead and look at Scott's seller history. He sells stuff cheap and always takes care of his customers.

It was Dave's idea to do a trade for his cabbie - I was going to sell my 90 325i or part it out and pay him cash - he offered to take the car in trade as he wanted a safer car to track. Aside from the paperwork, we're both very happy with the outcome, as far as I knew.

And for Andre - he had a bumper, I had a head. Instead of sending me $90 and having me ship the head, then sending him $90 back to ship the bumper - lo and behold, we just said ship each other's parts.

So...Dave has Scott's old car, and doesn't have the ability to register it or insure it because Dave doesn't have access to the title, so everything is still in Scott's name.

I know what I'd do--I'd report the car stolen to get back at him for attempting to ruin Scott's reputation in public view instead of putting all these complaints and bitchings in a PM. That's just me though.

And what does Dave do for a career? I noticed that threat as if he's something like a lawyer. Which would be sad, because that means he's so good of a lawyer that he can afford an e30.

well did he hold up his end of the bargain? (andre) you should have too

you can whine as much as you want, and say you're a good person. okay. but realize you fucked up. you let yourself get in over your head and now you have to make things right and bust your ass to do so.

kids make excuses. grown ups just handle it.

edit: Jeremy, are you forgetful or just retarded. Dave has a Lexus and e30s is just the fun car he sports for recreation. Stop being a douchebag guy.

What the fuck is the matter with you?

Granted, I know you're a 20 year old spoiled brat that's never had a job, who lives with Mommy and Daddy. I know that your parents have bought you 2 cars now. I understand how the concept of money can be somewhat foriegn to you. That being said, I can understand where Dave is coming from here. He paid for the car understanding that the title was forthcoming, that's now going on 3 months.

I'd be a little sore personally.

Permit, your attitude in general sucks. You need to catch a reality check and grow the fuck up.
