For a fee, I can drive down to Scottyville and get your title. My methods are tried and true. ;)
HAHAHA
I was down there Monday. I know MUCH of the parts waiting to be shipped went out allready as could actually somewhat see the floor and walk around bit easier w/out tripping.
BTW Chris saw the front valance for Jeremy's wreck, any chance you wanna let that go cheap?? Or I can bring it up for you next trip. I pass Durham on way way home and am only 20 min. from Concord ;)
I agree. Ive got nothing but great things to say about Scott as hes always been ready to help me work on my car or hook me up with parts. Im sure everything in this instance will be solved. I was comenting more on the numerous other problems Ive seen in the last few weeks.
At this point, I'd be happy if he just brought me my cabby back in the same condition it was in when I gave it to him and took this other thing away.
He needs to fix this, otherwise, he'll find that he's messed with the wrong Hillbilly.
I am absolutely SHOCKED at the responses in this post. I can not believe I'm reading some of this stuff.
Dave - you knew the title was going to take some time, and I NEVER, EVER promised a deadline, as I have very little control over the previous owner - I even offered to wait on the trade until I got the title, but you declined, stating that you'd rather have the trade done and worry about the paperwork later. I'm sorry it's taking so long, but even YOU have tried calling the PO - and he won't return any calls.
To get on here and say that you'd rather just take the cabby back, or that I've "messed with the wrong hillbilly" is unbelievable. I went 14 hours out there to save you time and money that you would have spent meeting me halfway. I installed thousands of dollars in parts and charged you a fraction of that, including $400 in legal assistance I'll probably never use. I spent countless nights staying up until sunrise prepping the car, working on the car, getting it ready for you.
And THIS is the thanks I get?
Andre - I NEVER said or promised when I could get the cylinder head in the mail. I made it clear that I was going to do my best to get it out asap - and whether the seller believes it or not, I did email him, explaining I'm very busy with work, and can even throw some free parts to him for being so patient.
I'm working ridiculous hours at the hotel, on top of the holidays, and a lot more stuff on my plate. I just have NOT had enough time to spend at the garage, and I do feel bad that I couldn't get the cylinder head out sooner, but this sort of reaction is uncalled for. As Mark stated, he saw me Monday, and has tried my cell himself - I'm rarely able to answer my cellphone, or make calls on it - I'm not even allowed to have it on me when at work. Most of the time I just leave it in my Jeep.
I appreciate those of you who came to my defense, as I've helped many people on this board with parts, labor, time, garage space, and more. I've dropped everything, put my relationship on the rocks, all to help people on here I consider friends.
But sometimes all it takes is a spark to start a fire, and now it's burning.
If you aren't happy, send me a PM. I'm in NO way unreasonable, but I can't be expected to answer my phone when you call if I'm not even near it, nor can I cater my schedule to every board member on here.
I am doing the BEST that I can. For those that don't like it, I'm sorry. I'm just disappointed to see people I consider friends turning like this on me.
PS - you can be damn sure once my parts are gone, I'm finished selling ANYTHING on here. This is not what I ever intended to happen.
