    is this a euro m3?

So browsing CL today i came across this M3, which looks like a pretty clean car. the ad says it was originaly from Germany and then imported w/paper work. sounds good, however looking at its pics it doesnt seem very euro to me, like the cluster, and the grills for example. I'm not an m3 expert and haven't seen many in person to say for sure one way or another. So I was currious what r3v thinks? and hey if nothing else its good to spread the word when a nice M3 comes up for sale.

dosent look like but from photos you cant really tell. It may have been a euro delivery or was converted to us spec for import, but looks like a normal us spec

First owner could have been military who bought a US spec car in Germany, like I did. Only way to be sure is to get the VIN.

? No where does the seller claim that it is a euro spec car. Only that it was bought and serviced in germany. Where is the lie?

The way it's written, as the current seller being the second owner from the original (the dealership in germany), would imply it being a euro spec m3. Why would you even mention it was driven/purchased in Germany if it's a western spec e30?

Although the current seller doesn't specify it's a US spec car either. I am not hating on the car, the VIN will decide, as previously mentioned.

A Euro Spec M3 would not come with an original instrument cluster in MPH. Germans run in KM/H so unless the cluster has been changed, I say no its not Euro Spec.

But then again I dont know what the rules for importing it would be, so perhaps he would need to switch to a NA cluster to pass inspections in the states.

You wouldn't mention that? It is the history of the car, its not his fault it was originally purchased and driven in Germany. The word euro isn't even mentioned.

                          these, right here.
My sister in law took European delivery of an e60 touring while she lived in France. She was moving back to the states a year later, so purchased a us spec car and had the first year of service done there.

The only person implying it is a euro spec car is you. No where does the ad say it is a euro spec car. It just says it was purchased in Germany and shipped over here.
Regardless, it looks like a good car. And it is an M3. Run the vin, but I doubt it's a euro spec.

I did not mean to imply it was listed as a euro spec car in my original post but as it stated it was originaly purchased in Germany and years later imported here I was just curious why it did not appear to be a German or "euro" spec car. But the military theory does seem like a reasonable explanation. I would email to inquire about the cars history just because I'm curious but I dislike when people ask a million questions about my items for sale wih not intent to purchase them so I'll leave that to a serious buyer.
