Ate those even redrills? They look like multi lug wheels to me. This thread is questioning wheels that were welded and then drilled.

It wasn't. Apparently what happened was he had a nuts with a different thread (larger diameter) but a similar pitch. So they still went on, but they were only grabbing at the tips of the thread, that's why when one went, they all went.Last edited by Bullet Ride; 01-10-2013, 11:42 AM.Comment

yeah something like that is what I've figured, because there is no why all of those wheels fell off at the same time if the fill n drill failed88 325is Five SpeedLachssilberComment

I remember the story with the guys wheels falling off.
At that event he purchased new lugs from a vendor which were supposed to be the correct size and thread pitch. Turned out they were the correct size but wrong thread pitch... And that was the outcome.

Just saw this, Not a fill and drill but a danger of thin metal. About half way down. I would still daily on fill & drills.

It appears that these were originally made for a different fitment four bolt pattern for some other make... if there was such a thing. I believe the holes being used were in fact drilled out later.87 BMW 325e Black

Definitely ugly. I bought these in silver from Turner Motorsports and they just arrived today...
... except they are the correct 4 lug pattern.87 BMW 325e Black
