Oh Wait OP is having to pay CA sales tax ................................

Hes wanting us to pay his sales taxes for him I am getting it now. he owes about 11% sales tax, so at about 110 bucks per thousand more than 1/2 his "registration bill" is taxes.

I have to pay my taxes you should pay yours.........................

      2. Registration is probably crazy high because the PO didn't pay the registration for a couple years and there are tons of fees. You should have checked that before you bought it. car is from florida gtfo out of ere
      3. It's irresponsible. And I never said helping others is irresponsible, I said not making sure you yourself are taken care of is irresponsible. dif view point i guess, cant say that yours is wrong

      Agree to disagree.

You have an M3, sell some nonessential components until you have enough to cover registration. Or get someone nearby to give you a personal loan.

Hopefully you have learned two important lessons, don't buy anything from FL, and don't live in CA if you like cars. Maybe something about fiscal responsibility too.

For 75 bucks you can set up a limited liability corporation in Montana and license the car there without having to pass smog. Then you can drive the car in CA for 6 months a year without having to relicense it.

I want a painting of Obama riding narwhale, while battling a viking wearing a mink coat descending from the heavens and Bill Murray is looking down from heaven smiling.

Do that on the hood and I will pay it all.

Please stop with this shit. You will get questioned about it, I work out of state and every other year or so, I have to show up in person to renew my registrations or fax copies of all my documentation over (which they frown on) to get tags for my shit. AND I FUCKING LIVE IN THE STATE. Yes its legal but its a BS scam.

Nothing pisses me off more than to see a million dollar Bus or supper car running around somewhere with MT tags on it, so they can dodge the sales taxes and high registration fees in their home state. I have been looking at buying a coach (for work) for a little while now and see this a lot with their owners being residents of Mass, TX, GA, and the the like many of the buses have never even been in MT.

We had a kid on here that worked for a lambo dealer and they sold a Veyrone with MT tags on it but was being delivered to CT IIRC so they didnt have to pay the 6% sales tax to CT on the car MT does not have sales tax. I hate taxes as much as the next guy, but I sure as hell have to pay them.

Sounds like you have it easy in the USA.

Over here, it costs $220 every 3 months for a 6 cylinder car. Driving unregistered = $890 fine.

Wait a month and pay your dues like everyone else? Idk, dude, as cool as it is that you are doing something for the community, I find it kind of cocky to "expect" to be repaid for something that you willingly offered.

looks like you have to pay. However, I'd start with capitalizing my "i"'s.
